How to perform Cable Reverse Curl with proper form

Setup

  1. Equipment: Use a cable machine with a straight bar attachment.
  2. Adjustment: Set the pulley at the lowest setting.
  3. Grip: Stand facing the cable machine, grasp the bar with an overhand grip (palms facing down).

Execution

  1. Positioning: Stand with feet shoulder-width apart. Hold the bar with arms extended down at your sides.
  2. Engage: Keep your elbows close to your body, maintaining a slight bend in your knees.
  3. Curl: Pull the bar upwards by flexing your elbows, keeping your wrists straight. Lift until your forearms are vertical.
  4. Control: Slowly lower the bar back to the start position, maintaining tension in your biceps and muscles of the forearm.

Tips

  • Avoid swinging or using momentum; focus on controlled movements.
  • Keep your back straight and core engaged throughout the exercise.
  • Adjust the weight accordingly to maintain form.
